On the path to greatness.

Where her voice calls out,
And her eyes watch me.

Her eyes,
Their melted caramel gaze,
Looking through me,
Not seeing the way i watch her.
Those eyes,
Constantly on his face,
Full of such love,
Love that I have for her.
His hands,
Reaching up to cup her face,
Their rough texture,
Pressing against her soft skin.
Her warm breath,
Coming in gasps,
Heating his chest,
And speeding his heart.
Like when she gives me,
A mere moment,
To speed my heart,
And heat my flesh.
But it grants me,
One unkindness,
A fluttering in my chest,
And a smile across my cheeks.

My life became dark,
And full of pain.
Constant antics, simple at first,
Became serious and hard.
As hard as a fist.
Everything went by in a blur,
And no one knew,
Or would know,
Of what I was going through.
Of who I was facing.
I was the spy,
Sent to watch,
But I found something more,
More than another song.
So much more.
For days-
No, weeks after,
His face was everywhere.
And the cold pit in my stomach,
Wasn't as icy as it once was.
This new feeling,
Made everything better.
The sting was now,

Bearable.
But the threats and the bruises,
Escalated alarmingly.
